My little Landry turned 2 and we threw her a big pool party at a city pool that we rented for a private party. It was complete with a lazy river, kids play area, whirlpool, and a giant 6-story water slide! It was fun for all ages of kids. We rented a park pavilion outside of the water park for an hour before pool party (because we could only rent water park for 2 hours so we wanted to have the "party" part before). We decorated with a ton of luau supplies that we bought from www.Partymall.com that were perfect! I added a special unique touch to the centerpieces - I took cheap, bright-colored, plastic buckets and filled with different snacks and then tied helium balloons to each handle. I decorated the front of the buckets with a cute luau picture of my daughter along with "Lu-Lu's Luau" (her nickname is Lu-Lu and so we had a "Lu-Luau") and hot-glued a lei around the rim. We had a 2-tier cake that was incredible that we got from a local bakery and put cute pictures of the birthday girl as decoration in seashell picture frames. We played a quick game for everyone called "Can you interpret Lu-Lu Lingo?" I created on my computer a test to see who could guess what my 2-year old was saying (ie What is "Ah-poo"? Answer: Apple) The top 3 winners got the pictures that were used as decoration in the seashell frame. For the favors, I used beach shell necklaces and I used www.Butterflysparks.com for the favor tags as well as invitations. Then we headed over to the water park and we had a blast! I didn't even worry about decorating that because all the kids wanted to do was swim so I actually really got to enjoy myself!
