Chloe’s Rubber Duckie First Birthday For my daughter Chloe’s first birthday party, we decided to do a rubber duckie birthday party because her favorite thing to do is take a bath! I hired an invitation company called Visual Giggles to use a picture that I took of Chloe in a bubblebath and make an invitation out of it. It turned out so awesome! It said “Rubber Duckie, You’re the 1, to make Chloe’s birthday lots of fun!” I had lots of good food along with blue punch that had rubber duckies floating in it. I also had plastic margarita glasses filled with blue jello and had a yellow “peep” sitting on top for treats for the kids. We had a rubber duckie cake with real, yellow gerbera daisies outlining the base and scattered along the top of the table. For centerpieces I used stuffed ducks with yellow helium balloons tied around animal. We had TONS of clear helium balloons with yellow curling ribbon everywhere to look like bubbles. We also had a bubble maker that kept the little toddlers busy catching and popping the bubbles. Since the kids were so little we didn’t play many games. All of the adults brought sweet letters for Chloe and were placed in a time capsule for her to open on her 16th birthday (that request was noted on invitation so guests would not be pressured for time when writing their letter). I had a rubber duckie in a bathtub cake for all the guests at the party along with a small cake for Chloe to eat herself and make a mess with. Chloe and the guests had a great time! The favors were plastic buckets with bubble wrap as the filler at base. The bucket had a rubber duckie loofah, yellow peeps, bubble bath that Visual Giggles custom had made a label for. We attached tags to handle of bucket that said “Thanks for coming – it was such a quack up!” The party was a hit!
