Kindergarten Graduation Party

KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION PARTY INVITATIONS: • Make invitations into little diplomas. Print party information on desired paper, then roll up and tie with grad’s school color ribbon. Give a little flair by adding a tassel or diploma charm to the ribbon. • Create a photo invitation using their class portraits • Send a custom printed t-shirt using the grad’s nick name or their catch phrase from their yearbook as an invitation. Create a paper invitation of a t-shirt and include all the celebration information and request the guests to wear the shirt to the party. • Design report-card style invitations on your computer. THEME: • Is the grad a sports enthusiast? Pick out different sports events and develop the theme around their favorite sport. If you have any of their old jerseys from games, it would be cute to hang on a clothes line to display around the yard or in the house. • Plan for an Open house style if they have many friends and want to try and make it to each party after graduation ceremony. • Discuss with other parents to decide if you would like to plan a block party if there are multiple graduates in the neighborhood. DECORATIONS: • Deck the walls with jerseys, pennants and banners from their new elementary school. • Pick out a few of your favorite pictures of the grad and have them blown up as posters. • Turn the graduate’s art from throughout the year into decoration for the party – hang on the walls or laminate and use as placemats for each place setting. • Turn graduation caps upside down and use as bowls for chips, or fill them with flowers or balloons for centerpiece. • Use elementary school colors for the paper products • Create a banner with your graduate’s future plan’s showing what they want to be when they grow up. • Line your driveway and front door entrance with photos on a stick • Sprinkle photofetti or wordfetti on tables and in invitations • Cover several tables with plastic tablecloth using grad’s school colors. Randomly place grad’s school photos and classmates around the tables and then cover with heavy clear plastic cloths on top to display special school moments. • Have a banner made (check out our party supply section) with CONGRATULATIONS! GAMES/ACTIVITIES: • Make a time capsule and ask each child to bring something special to add from their kindergarten year. Place items in a box and store in a safe place to be given to them on their senior graduation. • Have a note station set up including decorative paper and pens for guests to write special memories, hopes and dreams for their future, and best wishes for the graduate. • Ask all the graduates to wear or bring white t-shirts so everyone can sign each other. • Place a jar full of pennies on the main table and ask everyone to guess how much $ is in the college fund jar – whoever wins gets a prize! GIFTS/ FAVORS: • Candy bar wrappers featuring grad’s photo and celebration information • Imprinted tassel key chains • Personalized graduation frames • Mint tin favors with graduates picture on the front • New folder for 1st grade with a picture from party on front
